Happy Monday guys! As I’m writing this I’m watching Twilight: Breaking Dawn and just thinking about how I obsessed with these movies I used to be. Feels like so long ago! Today was crazy and I’m so glad to be home relaxing. Anyway, today’s motivational quote:
“Create the things you wish existed.”
Short and sweet. You guys, I love this so unbelievably much! I long for things all the time – a newer car, a pretty apartment, to be able to take awesome vacations, lose weight, find the love of my life, have babies…and on and on. I often find myself getting bitter about the fact that I don’t have all of these things in my possession right here right now. I’m a bit of an instant gratification kind of girl, and I don’t usually care to wait for things I want. Reading this quote always grounds me though because it is so so true! We have the power and ability to go after and create everything we want (within reason of course). Obviously, we can’t buy a yacht if we work at a daycare, like me, but we always have the ability to go to college, or find a different job, or start a business that may bring in more money. I am the only one who can get myself to lose weight, and yet I keep putting it off and then having a pity party because I can’t buy a cute swimsuit or climb one flight of stairs without huffing and puffing as though I just ran a mile. I get bummed when I wander the aisles at Home Goods, wishing I could decorate my own apartment with all of those beautiful things, but then I buy caramel frappuccinos most days after work instead of putting that money into an apartment fund. It’s really all about perspective you guys. If we wish it and we want it, we have to do it. We have to put in the work to make it possible, and if we want it bad enough, I believe that it really will become possible if we are willing to put in the blood, sweat, and tears.
If reading this quote doesn’t make you want to go out and climb a mountain, then nothing will!
Wishing you all a wonderful and relaxing Monday evening!
