Our second day at a Disney park was at the most magical park of all, Magic Kingdom! I was beyond excited to go to this park and let me tell you, walking around the corner and seeing Cinderella’s castle for the first time was the most amazing moment of my entire life. Okay, maybe not, but it really was incredible. If we’re being completely honest with each other I may or may not have choked up a bit. We started off the day on the People Mover and moved onto it’s a small world. Super cool ride, so colorful and relaxing. Afterwards, we grabbed some lunch at Pinocchio’s Village Haus. I got a caesar salad, some breadsticks and an ice water. Bonus tip for those of you that don’t know, you can get a free cup of ice water at any counter service restaurant. Definitely beats having to buy a $3 water bottle!
Next up was Under the Sea, the Little Mermaid ride. So excited for this one, we didn’t have a fast pass and ended up only waiting about 15 minutes. I’m not patient at all when it comes to that kind of stuff so that was great, Afterwards, we headed over to Gaston’s Tavern so I could try LeFou’s Brew. I made a list of all the things I wanted to make sure to try while at Disney and this was one I didn’t want to miss. I know it’s not for everyone, but I LOVED it! It was like an apple slush with a hint of caramel. It was tart and refreshing, but sweet without making you sick. I could’ve had a million of these, so so yummy! We shopped for a bit before heading over to Splash Mountain for our fast pass. The big drop on this ride is so fun! When we were done with the ride we wanted to head back to the castle to catch the Festival of Fantasy parade, but we had a bit of time to kill so we got some Dole Whip, Citrus Swirl and a raspberry lemonade and pina colada slush and headed to Main Street to do a bit of shopping. It’s really too bad I don’t have more money because I would’ve bought half the stuff in all those stores.
The rest of the afternoon was spent bumming around taking in the sights, getting on rides here and there when the wait times weren’t ridiculously long. Seriously, I don’t get how people can wait more than half an hour for a ride. Any ride. Once it got dark, wait times went down so we were able to get on a few more rides, see part of the fireworks and grab a delicious root beer float before heading back to the buses. Seriously, it was the best root beer float I’ve ever had. Ugh, now I’m dreaming of root beer floats. It was a long and tiring day, but so magical. I loved every minute of it. Magic Kingdom really is the most magical place on Earth!
So I want to know, what are your Magic Kingdom must-dos?
