Christmas is exactly THREE weeks away and I am in full holiday spirit over here! Elf is playing on TV, Christmas music is on the radio in the kitchen, holiday candles are burning & it’s snowing gently outside. Nothing beats the feeling of Christmas approaching. The decorations, cookies, traditions new and old, smells, and overall magical feeling in the air just fill my heart with so much joy.
On top of that, Christmas is extra special this year because my sister and her husband will be leaving Texas to spend two whole weeks with us up here in Wisconsin. This is the first year my sister has lived away from home, and we haven’t seen her since my brother’s wedding at the end of September. I am fidgeting with excitement and can’t wait to have them back for the most wonderful time of the year. I have tons of fun holiday plans for their visit!
Yesterday, as many of you probably know, was Bath & Body Works one day a year candle sale! It is the cheapest you can get their candles ever, and only happens one day out of the whole year. Normally, the candles are $22.50 full price (ridiculously overpriced, never ever buy one at full price) and numerous times throughout the year they go half off (better, but not great). However, on this one magical day all candles are only $8.50!! Absolutely crazy. On top of that, if you are smart with coupons, you can end up getting each for close to only five bucks. I told you, crazy. This is only the third year that I have partaken in this amazing sale. I’ve gotten a ridiculous amount each of the previous two years, but this year definitely takes the crazy cake. In total, combining both my candles and my mom’s, I brought home (drumroll please) 43 candles! I may or may not have a problem.
I thought it would be fun to show you guys my candle haul today, so here we go!
Here is the entire haul all stacked up nicely. I actually was nervous while setting this tower up, I could just picture them all falling over and shattering everywhere. I wanted to get one shot of all of them together, but afterwards categorized them into separate groups to get better close ups.
These are the 6 classic White Barn candles I snatched up – Peach Meringue, White Gardenia, Vanilla Balsam, Cinnamon & Clove Bud, Peppermint Marshmallow & Warm Apple Pie.
I was over the moon excited when I saw that they included some fall candles into the sale this year! I grabbed Cider Lane, Caramel Woods, Pumpkin Cupcake, Berry Pumpkin Strudel & Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow.
I don’t know why, but I usually don’t like when certain candles don’t come with lids. However, these candles were pretty enough and smelled great enough to reel me in. Spiced Vanilla Marshmallow (top white marbled candle), Roasted Chestnut & Cherries (red), Juniperberry & Pine (purple), Smoked Vanilla (green) and Iced Vanilla Woods (blue). I’m actually burning the Roasted Chestnut & Cherries candle right now and it smells ridiculously good. Thumbs up!
I like to call these candles the party candles. They are just so pretty and sparkly. I loved a lot of these and ended up bringing home Champagne Toast, Frosted Cupcake, Berry Vanilla Bean, Black Cherry Merlot, Celebrate, Holly Berry Balsam, Twisted Peppermint, Winter Rose, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl & Peach Bellini. Can’t wait to light these bad boys up!
I also grabbed up four of these holiday classics – Hot Cocoa & Cream, Spiced Gingerbread, Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean Noel.
They had a handful of non-holiday candles included in the sale this year and I liked these two enough to add them to my collection. Indigo Sky and Eucalyptus Mint & Rain.
And last but not least, the amazing holiday collection! Sweater Weather, Fresh Sparkling Snow, Chocolate Pistachio, Salted Caramel, Candied Pecans, Marshmallow Fireside, Sparkling Woods, Spiced Apple Toddy, Winter, Tis the Season & Vanilla Snowflake.
There you go folks, the full haul! I am so excited to add all of these fragrant beauties to my collection and even more excited to start burning them. This year I got a lot of new scents, but also a handful of repeats from last year and the year before to replenish my favorites! The repeats this year are Champagne Toast, Black Cherry Merlot, Tis the Season, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl, Marshmallow Fireside, Vanilla Snowflake, Winter, Spiced Apple Toddy & Salted Caramel. My all time favorite holiday candles are Marshmallow Fireside and Tis the Season. They just smell so. darn. amazing.
If I’m being completely honest, I would’ve gotten a few others, but you gotta reign it in at some point right?
Hope you all enjoyed reading this post as much as I did making it! I love sharing my Bath & Body Works obsession with all of you and would love to know what your favorites are! I plan on sharing my thoughts on each of these candles once I get a chance to burn all of them.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday loves!
