For the third installment of this Disney series, I thought it would be fun if I shared my personal top 3 favorite rides, snacks, parks, drinks, and sit down restaurants in Disney World. I know I always love hearing what other people’s favorites are because they’re always different! Trust me when I say it’s going to be really hard to pick just 3 of each, but here we go!
Top 3 Favorite: RIDES
1.Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom
A broken track, speeding backwards into the dark and a huge drop? Favorite ride for sure!
2. Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom
I love Splash Mountain because it is one of the longest rides in Disney. The whole ride takes about 10 minutes, which is awesome especially if you have to wait for awhile. There’s multiple different drops throughout and a 5 story drop at the end. Plus, water rides are the best! Just be aware that may get
a bit wet!
3. Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in Epcot
Pretty much a Mexican it’s a small world. I just love this one! It’s colorful and lively and quite long as well. Plus, it usually has short wait times!
Top 3 Favorite: SNACKS
1. Citrus Swirl from Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom
While the Dole Whip is undeniably delicious, my favorite is this little beauty. The orange slush and vanilla soft serve make for the perfect flavor combo, just like a dreamsicle (which I happen to love), plus it’s cheaper than a Dole Whip!
2. School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Epcot
If I hadn’t seen this pastry recommended on multiple travel blogs/vlogs, I probably never would’ve tried it. And boy would I have been sorry. It is so good. A sweet cardamom bun filled with vanilla custard and topped with toasted coconut? Yum.
3. Root Beer Float from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom
I know this is pretty basic and not really unique to Disney World, but it was hands down the best root beer float I’ve ever had. The soft serve was the trick and it doesn’t look like it so much in the photo, but it was huge! Definitely perfect for sharing. Or not!
Top 3 Favorite: PARKS
1. Magic Kingdom
What really is there to say? Magic Kingdom is the epitomy of Disney World. While all of the parks are awesome, this park feels the most “Disney” and is easily the most magical. Really brings out your inner kid!
2. Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is a very close second for me. I can’t exactly explain it, but I absolutely loved this park. The themeing is amazing and it is just so much fun!
Epcot is incredible. I was so amazed by the World Showcase and had a great time exploring each of the “countries”. Not to mention, there is amazing food options and quite an impressive amount of them, plus there are a decent amount of fun rides as well.
Top 3 Favorite: DRINKS
1. Pina Colada Slush from Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom
This slush was sweet and strong in pina colada flavor, but I was head over heels. It was delicious, creamy and a nice treat!
2. LeFou’s Brew from Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom
Oh man, let me tell you this brew is not to be missed. This sweet and cold apple slush is made even more delicious with the hint of toasted marshmallow. I didn’t expect to love this drink as much as I did! Cannot wait to go back and get another.
3. Raspberry Lemonade Slush from Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom
Although this drink is nothing super special in terms of originality, it is a wonderfully refreshing drink to help beat that Florida heat! A perfect balance of sweet raspberry and tart lemon.
Top 3 Favorite: SIT DOWN RESTAURANTS
1. Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Ohana is very popular and after going for dinner, I totally get why. Not only is it beautiful, but the food is incredible. Plus it’s all you can eat!
2. Tusker House in Animal Kingdom
I was blown away by the themeing in this sit down. The African inspired buffet is delicious and unique, and you get to meet some familiar safari friends (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofey, Daisy & Donald) during your meal! Don’t forget to ask for the Jungle Juice!
3. Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom
While the food here is not terrible by any means, it is the atmosphere and ambiance that makes it easily the most popular dining destination in Disney World. I recommend going for dinner so you can meet the Beast and of course, you got to try the grey stuff!
It is so hard to narrow down these categories to only 3 favorites! There are so many more snacks, restaurants and rides that I LOVE just as much, but it is definitely a fun challenge to pick your favorites. Now granted, there are still some rides, restaurants and snacks I have yet to try, but I suppose I’ll just have to update this list on a trip to trip basis. 😉
I’m enjoying summer-like temps and sunny days right now, and it’s definitely a nice treat from the cold although quite strange for February!
Have a wonderful week!
