This week had a few bumps in store for me. I found out the my car is in need of nearly $1000 worth of work. Not that it’s ever good timing, but it definitely sucks that I’m not working at a regular job. That’s a big chunk of money to watch come out of your bank account folks. I literally cried about it when I first got the news haha! Don’t judge me too hard! Just not at all what I was hoping to hear. Sigh. Oh well, such is life.
Anywho, it’s that time of year again! Time to make plans for summer, woohoo! Making bucket lists (especially a summer bucket list) is one of my favorite things ever, even if I don’t end up making it to many of the things on my lists. What can I say, I’m a bit over ambitious.
Now that my niece is old enough to really enjoy summer and being off of school for 3 months, my summer bucket list this year was created with her in mind. Since I get to be home with her and my mom most days, I like to fill her days with fun activities that help make her little life as exciting as possible. Even though it’s not technically summer yet according to the calendar, it definitely is feeling like summer in Wisconsin and in most of the country from what I’ve been hearing! I’m talking 90° literally every day. I’m not joking. Actually these temperatures are pretty unusual for June, but still gotta make the best of it. Thank goodness for air conditioning though because if we’re being honest with each other, that’s where I’ll be spending most of my time. At least for this week.
My bucket list for this summer includes many things we end up doing most summers, but there’s so many other things I hope to work in throughout the next few months. I know I say it for every season, but summertime is really one of the best times of the year. Even though I’m not a big fan of the heat. Not a fan at all. But still, when summer rolls around I find myself getting really nostalgic. As the weather warms up, I’m reminded of all the fun times I had as a kid on summer vacations. Running through the sprinkler with my brother and sister, playing outside every day, eating lots of popsicles and ice cream, no school, catching fireflies at night. The memories go on and on.
What are some things on your bucket lists for this summer?
Happy (almost) summer!! xo
