Pops Of Plaid & Coral

October 2, 2017

First off, my heart goes out to the victims of the horrific tragedy in Las Vegas. I was completely shocked and heartbroken to hear the news this morning. It is in times like this that we must join together as human beings and fill the world with love instead of hate. My thoughts & prayers are with the victims and their families today.

Happy October everyone!! Since we’ve been experiencing a bit of an Indian Summer over here, I felt inspired to play with some summery colors in this latest outfit shoot. I have always thought that plaid screams fall and believe everyone needs a few different plaid button downs in their closet. Whether you want to go for a full out flannel material or just a light cotton blend like the one I’m wearing above, you can’t dress yourself for fall without integrating some plaid somewhere! I also love that these kinds of button downs are so versatile. They can be worn buttoned up just as a shirt with some jeans and boots, unbuttoned with a flowy cami or tank top, tied around the waist with a tee, or under a vest. The options are endless and always so cute for any fall outing!

I am definitely a fan of the darker, richer and deeper hues for Fall, but that’s what’s so great about fashion. There are no rules! Adding in pops of color like this coral pink keep things fresh and exciting. Plus anytime I have a chance to toss some pink in, you better believe I’ll do it!

I’ve been wanting to do outfit posts like this (and this) ever since I started Tisch of all Trades, but was always too self conscious to get in front of the camera. However, I absolutely love fashion and putting together outfits so I finally decided to come out of my shell a bit and give it a shot! It’s definitely forcing me out of my comfort zone, but when I think of the future of this blog, this is what I dream about. So here we go! Let me know if you want to see more posts like this!

Hope you all had a great weekend & here’s to a fast week ahead!!

xoxo
