Best of Burgundy

Burgundy has forever been one of my favorite colors for not only fall, but year round. It’s such a rich and classic shade that I feel is really flattering on all skin tones. I’ve always though that burgundy is like black in that it is a very slimming color also, and maybe that’s why I love it so much! The warm and romantic blend of red and purple makes it a perfect color to sport for date night while still being great for daytime wear. And since it’s on the darker side, it’s great for dressing up with a few pops of lighter neutrals like camel, blush, cream, and light blue.

This burgundy top I’m wearing is flowy and lightweight, making it the perfect top for those fall days where the weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind. You know, how you wake up freezing like it’s the middle of winter, but then end up sweating by noon and wondering why it feels like summer again? If you can’t relate, come to Wisconsin. You’ll get what I mean sooner than later! The color of this top is so beautiful because it really seems to change colors in different lighting. When you’re inside, or outside in the shade the top looks darker and more purple, but out in the sun it looks a lot more red. Either way, it’s a stunning color for fall and I am so happy to see it trending everywhere this year!

I can’t believe we’re exactly 2 weeks away from Halloween! I am such a fan of this time of year. Not only because of the cooler weather, vibrant foliage, and scents of pumpkin and apple everywhere, but because it gives me the excuse to have scary movies on replay and candles burning constantly. Not to mention all the candy about to come my way! Trying to maintain my healthy habits of late is definitely going to be challenging, but I suppose that’s why portion control exists.

Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo
